Memorial Biography

Grandma was born & raised in Rochester, NY.  Her father died before she was born, so she spent a lot of time with her grandparents.  She was left handed at a time that it wasn't allowed.  She remained proud of her lefthandedness throughout her life.  She worked to support her family, at a time when most women stayed at home.  However, she didn't learn how to drive until her youngest son, Randy, taught her after he got his license.  After learning how to drive, she thoroughly enjoyed it & would often drive to NH for a visit by herself.  Grandma always enjoyed ceramics & her home was filled w/ beautiful pieces she made.  She loved crossword puzzles & watching Jeopardy.  She was always stubborn & proud.  The thing she was most proud of was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was always showing off pictures & sharing stories of their latest accomplishments.

Sat., Nov. 13, 2010, age 89. Predeceased by her husband, George. She leaves 2 sons, Ray (Cindy) of Wolcott and Randall (Joanne) of New Bern, NC; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 1 great-grandson.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Service 3:00 PM Sun. at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Interment, Webster Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Heart Assoc.
